Terms & Conditions — TLB Web Design

Working together, clearly

Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions explain how custom web projects, digital products, payments, delivery, intellectual property and client responsibilities are handled by TLB Web Design.

Last updated: August 2026
01

Scope of these Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to services and digital products supplied by TLB Web Design.

They may apply alongside a project-specific proposal, quotation, statement of work or written agreement. Where project-specific terms differ from these general conditions, the expressly agreed project terms take priority.

By placing an order, accepting a quotation, requesting work to begin or purchasing a digital product, the customer confirms that they have had the opportunity to review the applicable terms.

02

Services provided

Services may include, depending on the agreed project:

  • UX/UI design
  • WordPress website design and development
  • Website redesign
  • Responsive web development
  • Brand and visual direction
  • SEO foundations
  • Performance optimisation
  • Analytics configuration
  • Content and communication assets
  • Website maintenance or technical support

The exact deliverables are those listed in the accepted quotation or project agreement.

03

Quotes, proposals & orders

A custom project begins only once its scope, price and relevant terms have been accepted.

Quotations apply only to the deliverables described in them. Work requested outside the original scope may be subject to an additional quotation.

A quotation does not necessarily reserve a project slot until any required acceptance or initial payment has been received.

04

Pricing & payments

Prices applicable to custom services are confirmed before work starts. Digital product prices are those displayed or communicated at the time of purchase.

Custom projects

Payment may be divided into deposits or project milestones. The schedule will be specified in the applicable quotation or agreement.

Third-party costs

Unless explicitly included, external expenses may remain payable by the client, including:

  • Domain registration
  • Hosting
  • Premium plugins
  • Third-party software subscriptions
  • Stock photography or licensed assets
  • Paid fonts
  • Payment-provider charges

No additional charge outside the agreed scope will be intentionally incurred on the client’s behalf without appropriate approval.

05

Client responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing the information, content, approvals and access reasonably required to complete the project.

This may include:

  • Text and business information
  • Images, logos and brand assets
  • Hosting or domain access
  • WordPress credentials
  • Feedback and approvals
  • Legal information required for the website

The client confirms that they have the necessary rights or permissions to use any text, photographs, logos, trademarks or other materials they provide.

06

Timelines & delays

Project timelines are estimates unless a specific binding deadline has been expressly agreed.

Timelines may be affected by circumstances including:

  • Late client feedback
  • Missing content
  • Changes to the agreed scope
  • Third-party service delays
  • Technical issues beyond reasonable control

If client input is required before work can continue, the project timeline may be adjusted accordingly.

07

Feedback & revisions

The number and structure of included revision rounds may vary by project and will be defined in the applicable proposal where relevant.

Revisions are intended to refine approved project work, not to replace the original scope with a substantially different project.

Major changes, additional concepts, pages or functionality may require an additional quote.

08

Digital products & website templates

TLB Web Design may sell digital products including website templates, template collections, downloadable guides and other digital resources.

Before purchase, customers should review the product description, included features and any stated technical requirements. Consumer information for digital content should include relevant functionality, compatibility and interoperability details where applicable. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}

Delivery

Digital products are delivered electronically or through an agreed access or transfer method once the required payment and purchase conditions have been satisfied.

Support

Any support included with a template is limited to the support expressly described with the product. Custom setup, development or modification is not automatically included unless specifically stated.

09

Website template licence

Unless otherwise stated, the purchase of a TLB Web Design website template grants the purchaser a non-exclusive licence to use and customise that template for their own permitted website project.

Permitted use

You may customise the template with your own branding, text, photographs and business content for the website for which you purchased it.

You may not:

  • Resell the template as your own product
  • Redistribute the original template files
  • Share purchased files publicly
  • Upload the files to template libraries or marketplaces
  • Claim authorship of the original template design
  • Sell copies or substantially unchanged versions of the template

Third-party assets included in or demonstrated with a template remain subject to their respective licences.

10

Intellectual property

Intellectual property ownership depends on the type of work supplied and the relevant project agreement.

Custom client work

Rights to final custom deliverables may be transferred or licensed to the client once the agreed conditions, including payment, have been satisfied.

Pre-existing tools, reusable code, methods, frameworks, template systems and know-how are not automatically transferred.

Portfolio use

Unless confidentiality or another written agreement provides otherwise, TLB Web Design may request or reserve the ability to display completed public-facing work in its portfolio and professional communications.

11

Consumer withdrawal rights

Consumers entering into distance contracts may have statutory withdrawal rights under applicable French consumer law.

Where that right exists, information about its conditions, deadline and method of exercise must be provided before the contract is concluded. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}

Digital content

Special rules apply when digital content is supplied immediately before the normal withdrawal period has expired.

Immediate digital delivery and any resulting loss of the withdrawal right will only be relied upon where the applicable legal requirements have been satisfied.

Services

If a consumer expressly requests that a service begin during the withdrawal period, the consequences of a later withdrawal depend on the work already performed and applicable law.

Further details are available in the Refund Policy .

12

Cancellations & termination

A custom project may be cancelled subject to the applicable project agreement, work already completed and statutory rights.

Amounts relating to completed work, approved stages, third-party expenses or non-recoverable costs may remain due where permitted.

TLB Web Design may also suspend or terminate work where, for example:

  • Required payments remain overdue
  • The client repeatedly fails to provide necessary information
  • The project involves unlawful or abusive activity
  • Continuing the work would breach legal or professional obligations
13

Third-party services

Websites may rely on services provided by third parties, including hosting companies, WordPress plugins, payment processors, analytics services, email providers and APIs.

TLB Web Design is not responsible for independent changes, outages, pricing decisions or discontinued functionality imposed by third-party providers.

Where appropriate, alternative solutions may be recommended or quoted separately.

14

Liability

TLB Web Design will perform agreed services with reasonable care and professional diligence.

However, no guarantee is made that a website will achieve a particular commercial result, ranking, volume of traffic, sales level or conversion rate.

Results may depend on factors outside TLB Web Design’s control, including client content, hosting, competitors, search engines, advertising, third-party systems and market conditions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

15

Digital product conformity

Consumers may benefit from statutory rights relating to the conformity of digital content and digital services.

Digital content should correspond to its contractual description and relevant functionality, compatibility and other agreed characteristics. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}

These statutory rights are not excluded by these Terms.

16

Applicable law & disputes

These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections that may apply to them under applicable law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties are encouraged to first attempt to resolve the issue directly.

Where applicable, consumers must also be informed about the possibility of using a consumer mediator. French consumer law lists consumer mediation among the pre-contract information that may need to be supplied. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}

The terms applicable to a particular transaction or project remain subject to the version and specific agreements applicable when that transaction was entered into.
